Conrail Bridge over Cooper River
This bridge crosses over the Cooper River in Camden, NJ supported by masonry abutments and piers on timber piles and mats. Temporary helper bents had been installed to prevent against movement of the pier. IEW Construction Group was tasked with removing the temporary helper bents on the north pier and installing permanent bents on both the north and center piers. Portions of the existing fender and timber mats were also removed to make way for the new bents.
