Route 280 Bridge Deck Replacements

Route 280 in Essex County, New Jersey carries more than 70,000 vehicles daily to major employment destinations such as the Cities of Newark and Jersey City. The New Jersey Department of Transportation retained the services of IEW Construction Group to replace the severely deteriorated bridge decks on this important Urban Interstate Highway. This "Hyperbuild Project" was accomplished with minimum disruption to traffic through the use of a Precast Exodermic Deck System and the creation of temporary median crossovers.
