Milford-Montague Toll Bridge

The Milford-Montague Toll Bridge is owned and operated by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission crossing the Delaware River at the northern terminus of Route 206, some 85 miles north of Trenton, N.J. Opened to traffic in 1953, the bridge is a four-span continuous steel deck truss structure 1,150 feet in length. The roadway riding surface is more than 100 feet above the Delaware River. The DRJTBC awarded a critical rehabilitation contract to IEW Construction Group to replace the bridge deck and construct a new toll plaza. The project also addressed potential structural deficiencies similar to those that caused the I-35 Minnesota bridge collapse on August 1, 2007.
